Koning Shen joined The Column Group as a Swanson Fellow in 2025. She completed her PhD in Biology at Stanford University with Dr. Judith Frydman studying Huntington’s disease and her postdoc at UC Berkeley with Dr. Andrew Dillin studying mitochondria and aging. Her research has been published as first-author articles in Cell, Molecular Cell, and eLife in addition to numerous co-authorships. Her academic work has been awarded several grants including an NSF Graduate Fellowship, Jane Coffin Childs Postdoctoral Fellowship, Glenn Foundation for Aging Award, and NIH K99 Award. Prior to joining TCG, Dr. Shen worked as a research fellow at Longitude Capital and a consultant at Apple Tree Partners. She also holds a BA in Chemical and Physical Biology from Harvard University.
