The Column Group announces that Dr. Robert Tjian has joined as a Discovery Partner. Dr. Tjian recently served as president of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute from April 2009 through August 2016 and was co-founder of Tularik which was acquired by Amgen in 2004. He is a professor of biochemistry and molecular biology at the University of California, Berkeley where he maintains a research laboratory.
